01 · What to write to us about

We answer these directly

  • Factual corrections. A spec is wrong, a certification number does not match the listing, a model number we list does not exist. Cite the source you are checking against.
  • Counterfeit reports. A filter we recommend has been counterfeited, lost certification, or is shipping with materially different specs than at our review.
  • Buying questions for niches we have not covered. If you cannot find your filter category, tell us which device and we will prioritize the gap.
  • Manufacturer or distributor inquiries. We do not accept paid placements, sponsored reviews, or affiliate kickbacks beyond standard Amazon Associates. Spec sheets are welcome.
  • Press, citation, or republication requests. Direct excerpts are fine with attribution and a link back. Email first for full reposts.
02 · What we cannot help with

Not our scope

We are not the manufacturer, retailer, or shipping carrier for any product on this site. We earn an Amazon affiliate commission on qualifying purchases and have no access to order status, returns, or warranty claims for the products we link to.

For order issues, contact Amazon directly through your account orders page. For warranty claims, contact the manufacturer named on the filter packaging.

03 · Correction policy

How we handle errors

When a verified factual error is reported, we update the affected guide within 48 hours and bump the "Last reviewed" date in the editorial footer. The correction is silent — we do not run an erratum log because we want the current version of the page to always be correct, not a transcript of past mistakes. If you need the previous version of a guide for any reason, the public Git history has it.

For corrections that change a buying recommendation, we add a brief note at the top of the affected section explaining what changed. This applies for product-level changes — brand acquisitions, certification losses, formulation revisions — not minor copy edits.
